Oregon Urology

Oregon Urology Institute and Radiation Center

New Buildings

The Northwest’s largest, most advanced urological center, Oregon Urology Institute offers the expertise, superior care and latest technologies needed to treat urologic conditions. In 2004, the vision for a more integrated group of independent specialists became the concept for Northwest Specialty Clinics, which evolved into a specialty care leader in the Eugene/Springfield area. Now, as part of Northwest Health Partners, they are able to focus on improving quality and access to health care while controlling costs to promote overall community wellness.

McKenzie Commercial was asked to build a new 36,000 sf wood-framed structure on a vacant site in the Gateway area. This included bringing all utilities to the site for site development. The special use of this facility required a high level of attention to the systems and components needed to provide general services and surgeries. The building was constructed with an accessible crawl space simplifying future remodels and renovations.

Based on McKenzie Commercial’s performance on this project, we were engaged to build the Oregon Urology Institute Radiation Center in Springfield two years later. This is the Willamette Valley’s only cancer center dedicated to treating and researching urologic cancers. They offer the most advanced treatments and a full range of support services.
