Pipeworks

Pipeworks Studio is an innovative U.S. video game developer based in Eugene. For over 20 years, they have been defining “what’s next” in real-world interactions. They believe in creating popular, innovative and unique games that harness the creative spark of their team.

McKenzie Commercial has been working with Pipeworks since 2018 to complete various phased renovations and remodels to their 45,000-square-foot, three-story building. We were brought on to assist in the design, coordination and management of the building process as a member of the team with the owner and Rowell Brokaw Architects. In addition to necessary system upgrades to the aging building, initial goals were to create a more desirable work environment for employees, provide a more professional interior environment for clients, and bring a long-term value into the building to serve the future needs of Pipeworks Studio.

With these goals in mind, spaces were redefined to allow for a variety of gathering spaces, including dedicated team meeting rooms, living room style spaces with connecting kitchen and bar, as well as larger areas dedicated for public events. In addition, the building was opened up, an artistic staircase was added to connect all three floors and skylights were added to allow for natural light to penetrate throughout the area.
